Pastors, Casters & Conductors – 1 Peter 5:1-14

First Peter: Genuine Faith

As Peter wraps up his letter, he spends time describing the nature and the heart of the elder and pastor, the focus of the leader and the attitude of the follower. And we are called to cast our anxieties upon him, to longer carry our burdens day after day. And finally, to be aware that there is an enemy, but to keep calm and to resist him. As Christians, we must not only have escaped from the slavery of sin, but to become conductors in a spiritual underground railroad to take part in rescuing others from spiritual slavery and the bondage of sin. We are faced with a final challenge: What are you going to do?
