Slave. Christian. Brother in Christ. Onesimus stole from his master and ran away, then had an encounter with the imprisoned Paul…and found Jesus. This is Paul’s plea to Philemon, the slave’s master, to give freedom to his new brother in Christ. Written from prison, Paul writes of freedom, knowing that while he is a prisoner of Rome, his true situation is that he is Captivated by Christ.

After a 4-month break from the first part of 2 Peter due to the historic life interruption of Covid-19, we are finally getting back to completing the teaching in this letter.
