Slaves, Spouses & Submission – 1 Peter 2:18 - 3:7
We have been called as believers to honor others even when we have been treated harshly and unfairly, because Jesus suffered first and trusted the God was a just judge. This applies to us as slaves – or employees – and also to us as wives and husbands. And how we act as wives or husbands toward our spouse will have a huge effect on our marriages and our relationship with God, who asks us for both submission and meekness toward God and each other.
