Peter had denied knowing Jesus, his friend and teacher, and Jesus was beaten, crucified, a buried. Now Jesus had raised from the dead! Had Peter crossed the line? Committed the unpardonable sin? Was God done with him? Were his dreams of serving in the Kingdom of the Messiah over? Maybe it was just time to quit…and go back to fishing…
